Student Check-in: CAPIC webinar

This week, iHeartCanada’s director Scott Smith was featured as the industry specialist at a webinar organized by CAPIC, where he spoke about the ongoing changes in policies and processes released by IRCC for international students.

Besides speaking about the expected new framework for DLIs in 2024, Scott also discussed the PAL requirement, application caps, and the latest study permit process through different IRCC portals (both inside and outside Canada).

Practical tips and suggestions were given to around 200 attendees who participated with several questions. Still, one of the main points covered by Scott was about submitting a coherent study permit application while focusing on the student’s needs.
